Beauty Belly

With the culture around health today, more people are eating healthy to avoid chronic illness or lose weight. Yes, those are both great reason, but its not seductive enough catch. It plays off fear and insecurity. Why not eat for the goal of having beautiful skin? Thats way more fun and you will even accomplish your goals along the way. Eat foods that make you glow is a much more sexy catch to be the gateway to your health journey. The way your skin looks is in direct correlations with the well being of your micro-biome and your endocrine system. Period zits? Nourish your endocrine systems. Acne? Love your beauty belly.

What makes belly beautiful? Your belly is beautiful when everything is nourished and your body has all the nutrients and tools to keep everything in a regenerative state.

Simply taking a good probiotic in the morning right after rolling out of bed has been shown to help reduce acne and sudden break outs by stabilizing your body's pH levels. Drinking clean, purified water is key to clear and hydrated skin as well. Always purify your water before drinking, the damaging fluoride some water systems (America) disrupts your endocrine system further.

Sugar lovers beware, this addiction will show on your skin. Sugar is a major hormone disrupter, damages digestion, and dims your natural glow. Glow brighter! Nourish your system with health fats in abundance! Avocados, coconut meat & raw extra virgin coconut oil, ghee, raw nuts & seeds are key to brightening your glow. Eat foods rich in vitamin C such as berries, cilantro, lemons and papaya. Thrive off of beta carotene, with carrots, bell peppers and sweet potatoes. Omega rich salmon is amazing for those how enjoy it! Collagen peptides also are a protein that helps nourish your skin one collagen levels while also healing your gut. Vitamin C helps you up your body's own collagen production as well. Herbs along the lines of rose and turmeric work wonders. Rose is deeply mineralizing and rich in vitamin C to support skins supple glow, while turmeric reduces inflammation & fights breakouts! Antioxidants are very important for healthy skin, adding matcha, raw cacao, high quality organic coffee, and berries. Raw honey is also filled with enzymes that feed your skin, you could add it to recipes or even put it straight on the face! These common foods right here along with stress reduction are the basic recipe for better skin and a life lived in health and love. However, it does not stop there.

Pearl, schizandra berry, lucuma, and he sho wu are medicinal beauty food in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. This is the area I get super health nerd about. Pearl powder is a deeply mineralizing powder that brightens and tones skin while also brightening your eyes and giving you back your glow. Schizandra berry is known as the quintessential tonic herb, as it is a queen of beauty foods. This berry bring life to the skin! Lucuma is a fruit that acts as a natural sweetener as well as being rich in iron, zinc, beta carotene and minerals to nourish the skin. Lastly, he sho wu is a Chinese tonic herb that helps rejuvenate skin cells and stimulate the growth of hair and eye brows. These herbs are something that I do to invest in my health and glow, and have been used in different cultures for thousands of years!

I thinks its a fun thing to take your beauty into your own hands and not let your natural light be dimmed by the outer world. Support your glow! Feed your beauty belly! Try sipping on this...
