Matcha At Home

I used to enjoy cappuccinos, lattes, and cold brew coffees multiple time a day; until i received the worst possible news... I had a coffee allergy. Heartbroken from my recent breakup with my lover, the coffee bean, I had to move on. This is when I found matcha.

Matcha is a powdered form of green tea from Japan. In comparison to a normal bag of green tea, matcha has 137 time more antioxidants. These antioxidants include polyphenols which boost skin health, lowers blood sugar, promote brain health, and reduce inflammation. Matcha also contains ECGC's which increase your metabolism and aids in burning fat. Lastly, there is a large presence of L-Theanine which gives you the caffeine but without the crash. Speaking of caffeine, matcha has a 10 times more caffeine than regular green tea, so you will get a nice boost like a coffee would give you!

my morning matcha view

During my time making matcha lattes, I have experimented with my recipe; adding different adaptogenic herbs, mct oils, ghees & proteins. Heres the benefits of everything that I add

Ashwaganda is an adaptogenic herb from Ayurvedic medicine. This herb is used to balance hormones, reduce stress, & boost immune system; not to mention its incredibly high in antioxidant making it great for skin health.

I buy mine from Sun Potion

Rhodiola, yet another adaptogenic herb, I use it for stress relieve, to focus the mind, and burn fat. This herb is one of my favorites, after I take it I feel incredibly focused & inspired.

Maca is an herb from Peru that is used to balance hormones, thus reducing PMS, regulating periods, boost metabolism, also its an aphrodisiac sooooo be mindful.

The one I have now is from Marqt in Amsterdam, maca is very common and can be found everywhere.

Pine Pollen is another aphrodisiac, simply because it balances your hormones just like maca. When estrogen is high, PMS is very painful, your energy is low, headaches, hair loss and brain fog; so balancing your hormones are a key factor to feeling your best.

Brain Octane Oil is a type of MCT oil that is derived from coconut oil. What makes it different than coconut oil? Brain Octane is 100% caprylic acid, which is more nutrient dense for your metabolism and induces you into ketosis (ketosis is the act of burning fat instead of burning sugar). Caprylic acid also helps balance your gut by killing candida and stoping bloat.

This product is only made by Bulletproof

Collagen is the key building block of hair, skin, nails, and your stomach lining. Taking collagen on a regular basis aids in hair growth & thickness, health nails, glowing skin, and improved digestion. I take it every single day.

I buy mine from Vital Proteins.

Ghee is a clarified grass fed butter from Ayurvedic Medicine. It reduces inflammation, improves digestion, and produces ketones just like Brain Octane Oil.

My ghee is from Fourth & Heart

I will do a full post of all of my supplements, proteins, and an adaptogen 101 so if you're curious just subscribe ;)
